The September Issue is your inside look at Vogue magazine and a more intimate introduction to fashion's most respected she-devil Anna Wintour. While her success may be fascinating and admirable, she really isn't all that interesting.
My Grade: C+
Where the Wild Things Are is bittersweet, yet creepy. Spike Jonze's adaptation of the children's book is, like most of his work, unique and out of this world. However, my expectations were a little higher even though I've never even read the book. Great soundtrack featuring Karen-O (Yeah Yeah Yeahs).
My Grade: B
Everybody's Fine. Great. If they're so fine then we don't need to watch a movie about them. You'll pity Robert DeNiro in this film and be glad to see his kids (Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore and Kate Beckinsale) but the mellow-dramatics will bore you.
My Grade: C
Up in the Air is another job well done for director Jason Reitman (Juno), shining actors Clooney, Vera Farmiga and a very impressive Anna Kendrick. A great script filled with interesting, complex characters performed by highly gifted talent.
