DVD REVIEW: The Time Traveler's Wife
starring Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, Ron Livingston
directed by Roberts Schwentke
Amidst a backdrop of pretty colors, likable leads Bana & McAdams bring the celebrated novel of the same name to life. Although they are probably as confused as the audience, they do a great job at portraying the characters and distracting us from that "WTF is going on" mantra which is felt from start to finish. I gotta say, while it's not the worst movie, the most enjoyable perk for me was how often you got to see Bana's backside. What a great ass he's got! I suppose the concept and romantic angles are supposed to bring on a sense of magic, but for the most part there's nothing particularly exciting going on here. A more convincing "my time-traveling partner puts a strain on our relationship" movie is 2000's Happy Accidents starring Marisa Tomei and Vincent D'Onofrio.
My Grade: C
